| I decided recently to take on the challenge of removing the CF dash kit I like a moron decided to install some 5-6 years ago ... I was young, dumb, and obviously with bad eyesight because I thought it looked good. I've learned the more I saw unmolested stock interiors the more I wanted mine back. So I decided to undertake the project of attempting to remove mine ... originally I thought of just buying used interior trim pieces to replace the CF ones, but figured I'd give removing the dash kit a try first. The main catalyst for this was last year my Z was broken into, they attempted to steal it first but failed, attempted to steal the head unit .. failed (but broke the bezel) .. the body shop replaced the broken radio bezel and w/o asking decided to replace the CF dash that was on it w/ a new kit, unfortunately the new kit's CF weave/color was off from the existing kit .. it looked even more awful. It actually turned out to be pretty easy, and relatively little long term damage as far as I can tell. First step : Remove the molested interior pieces : I purchased a used bezel from yugobernie recently ... I already removed the CF from my bezel before the pic was taken .. now they both look identical .. and I cant remember which is which
destroyed dash kit .. no remorse on this

I originally just sat the pieces on the deck in the sun in an attempt to heat the adhesive up enough to pull the kit off ... it worked pretty well for the smaller pieces, for the larger pieces I placed them in the oven on the "warm" setting for about 5 minutes.

I had the entire kit so I also removed the piece from around the gear selector, sat the car in the sun for 5 minutes .. it peeled right off all back together ... much happier now
